Across Germany, the humanitarian NGOs of German Red Cross, St. John's Ambulance Germany, Malteser Germany, German Life Guard Association (DLRG) and Samaritans Assiciation (ASB) have formed motorcycle response units. Currently, members of these voluntary organisations are undertaking the necessary steps to start an association supporting the work of IMRUA, the "Yellow Knights MC Germany e.V.".
More information on these humanitarian NGOs will follow soon.

In St. John's Ambulance Germany, motorcycle response units have existed since the beginning in 1952.
However, they fell into disuse over the following years. The 1980ies saw their slow comeback throughout the North and South of Germany. Ever since, they grew in numbers from year to year.
Today, St. John's motorcycle units across Germany have 98 motorcycles, 6 ATV Quad Bikes and more than 280 volunteers in 63 locations.
